APRL and PETA protest at Seaworld UPDATE! Four activists were arrested at this protest.
In the wild, orcas live in large, intricate social groups and swim up to 100 miles a day in the open ocean. Orcas at SeaWorld are confined to enclosures that, to them, are like bathtubs, and these animals are unable to engage in most natural behaviors.
Here are the protest details:
What: SeaWorld protest
When: Saturday, February 5, 10:45 a.m. to 12 noon
Where: Outside SeaWorld, 500 Sea World Dr., San Diego (Please meet at the corner of Sea World Drive and Sea World Way; see this map.)
RSVP on Facebook. You can also RSVP and direct any questions to Lindsay Rajt at 757-943-7456 or LindsayR@peta.org. All materials will be provided. Please park in the first dirt lot on the right on South Shores Park.
