A CALL TO ACTION!

Here we go! After all of your hard work, standing at pet stores holding signs, passing out flyers and educating people about choices to find a puppy or kitten, making calls, signing petitions and endorsing this ordinance, it is NOW TIME
that we can all go to the City Council and be counted!!! If the committee votes yes on the ordinance, it will go to a vote of the entire City Council, the final step in getting this ordinance approved.
JOIN the San Diego Animal Defense Team
to tell the City Council PS & NS Committee
to ban the sale of dogs, cats and rabbits in
San Diego pet stores!!!
Now is the time to let them know that we
want this ordinance!

PLEASE WEAR RED TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE
ORDINANCE!

PUBLIC SAFETY AND NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES COMMITTEE

202 C Street, San Diego
Council Committee Room, 12th Floor

In addition, please contact the committee members and ask them to approve the ordinance:

Marti Emerald (Chair) martiemerald@sandiego.gov 619-236-6699
Lorie Zapf (Vice Chair) loriezapf@sandiego.gov 619-236-6616
Mark Kersey  markkersey@sandiego.gov 619-238-0915
David Alvarez davidalvarez@sandiego.gov 619-236-6688

FYI: Rescue groups in pet stores would not only be allowed but encouraged. We would never allow anything to be introduced that changed that.

  1. Hi friends at SD ADT! Thanks for pushing to get the ordinance passed! No more pet store sales of animals in SD! Adopt don't shop! ...So I called al four committee members. Got an answering machine for Emerald and left a message. Got to talk to very nice, real live people for Alvarez and Zapf, and an annoying fax machine sound for Kersey... Perhaps the number is incorrect? Thanks, and keep up the good work! starr
